Teaching Through | The Wheel of Life

In the high, stillness of Chauntha, Himachal Pradesh, a month-long immersion in dramaturgy and filmmaking sought to answer a vital question: How can the marriage of Arts and Social Practice ignite a transformation within a community?

Working with the pre-monastic students of the Kanishka School, this workshop moved beyond the screen to explore the Bardo—the sacred interval between states of being. By mapping the Wheel of Life through the lens of a camera, the students transformed abstract philosophy into a lived, cinematic reality.

Through the making of 3 short films, the turning of the Great Wheel was captured not just in frames of light, but in the evolving hearts of these young creators themselves.
